Cool name, miserable symptoms. This is a condition that I had as part of my connective tissue disease ( i.e. autoimmune disease) before I ever got MDS.

Well, it has gotten worse with the chemotherapy.  It is called  Sjogrens syndrome. With my second set of chemo prep for the transplant, it has become awful.  So I found special dry mouth toothpaste and mouth rinse that will help protect my teeth.  I didn’t know that the saliva has bacteria killing enzymes and with out it the bacteria can play havoc with my teeth and mouth lining.

So, my job is to keep my mouth moist. Chewing gum, drinking, swishing, mouth rinse etc.  It’s hard to keep up with it.

Just one of those unexpected trivialities! :(

That definitely doesn’t sound like fun. :( How about swishing with chocolate syrup? That would be my choice!

    Hi Sandy,
We spoke with Peter for a few minutes on Sunday. He told us about the large amounts of pills you have been taking every single day. Wow, what a process this is, and what a blessing that such a thing is even possible! We’re extremely glad you’ve got your new infusion of stem cells, and we pray every day for the wonderful news we hope to hear…That IT HAS WORKED!!! You deserve that miracle. Love you tons, Buffy & Bob

Hi Sandy… silent day today.. hope you take care of ypurself and do or let go, to be good to you.
I work with a woman with Sjogroens syndrome, it´s quite a battle, different things happen all the time. Right now she´s a bite better, but can´t take anything for granted.
Just sending love and warmth and sun and nice music so you can rest and be where you should!
    Love Eva

We just got back and I’m getting caught up on what’s been going on with you the past week. This process you’ve been going through is a real education. I’ve learned so much. It sounds like you’ve got a full time job keeping your mouth moist and taking your pills. I think your comment about this is the time your body is healing was so good. Just rest, rest, rest. You are turly on an adventure. You are being remembered in our prayers.
